How did ernest thomas lose his right eye?

Ernest Thomas lost his vision in his right eye due to amblyopia or "lazy eye", a condition he had since he was young. Amblyopia occurs when the nerve pathway from one eye to the brain does not develop.

Ernest is most famous for his role as Roger "Rog" Thomas on the 1970's sitcom What's Happening!!, which aired from 1976 to 1979. He got his start in professional acting as a Broadway actor in 1974.

Ernest has kept busy appearing in an episode of Anonymous and filming movies like Revenge, Basketball Girlfriends, and '79 Parts.
