That was Josta (1995-1999).
Pepsi’s “high-energy drink” Josta was predominately fruit and berry like, with a bit of spice, and a touch of the key secretive ingredient - guaraná. This reddish brown drink was introduced in 1995, however pulled from stores due to a “change in corporate strategy” in 1999.
Shortly before the drink was discontinued, an “Association for Josta Saving” launched and a "Save Josta" campaign declared April 4, 2007 “National Josta Day” in faith of resurrecting the dead soda.
