How did Tommy flanagan the actor get the scars on his face

Tommy Flanagan (born July 3, 1965) grew up in a rough part of Glasgow, Scotland. One night, when leaving a pub, a group of people attacked and tried to rob him. He tried to fight back and was stabbed, and from this came his facial scar, a Glasgow Grin.

He nearly lost his life, but survived and decided to become an actor. He got his first big break in the 1995 movie Braveheart which starred Mel Gibson. He's one of the stars of the TV series Sons of Anarchy, where he plays Chibs.

Of interest, Flanagan stars in Officer Down, a recently released straight-to-DVD action movie. He also recently finished filming The Jesuit, a crime-thriller about a man imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit.

The sixth season of Sons of Anarchy is set to premiere September 11, 2013. When asked how long Ron Perlman's character Clarence "Clay" Morrow will be behind bars series creator Kurt Sutter said this, "That’s a rough one. We’re going to have to play out that storyline a little bit to know exactly where it goes. We’re still kind of figuring out the ramifications of everything in terms of where he lands".
