A&E’s reality series Duck Dynasty is filmed in the bayous of Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana on the Ouachita River. It follows Phil Robertson, his sons Jase and Willie, their respective wives Missy and Korie, and Uncle Si as they run their Duck Commander business of building, blowing, packaging, and shipping duck calls.
The Robertson family previously appeared on the Outdoor Channel with the series Duck Commander and its spin-off Buck Commander.
The Duck Dynasty first season finale captured 2.6 million total viewers on May 23, 2012 and was cable’s highest ranking original show for the night.
The second season of Duck Dynasty with 26 half-hour episodes just aired its season finale on December 5, 2012, and it not only didn't disappoint in the ratings, it shattered them.
According to A&E it broke all records the network had, drawing in some 6,500,000 viewers, in fact beating or tying even broadcast TV for Wednesday night, and owning the 10:00pm time slot for the night.
