Who does Joanne Leone Johansson play in One Tree Hill?

Joanne Leone Johansson did not play anyone on One Tree Hill. She was Paul Johansson’s mother, who passed away on October 14, 2011 after a twenty year battle with cancer.

Paul plays Dan Scott on the program and also directed 14 of the episodes. The One Tree Hill episode “Danny Boy” was dedicated in her honor, as she passed away during the shooting. It was episode 11 of season 9 and originally aired on March 21, 2012.

One Tree Hill was canceled after its 9th season (April 4, 2012).

Of interest, Paul is starring in a thriller called The Winner 3D out in theaters on October 20, 2013. He plays a detective in the drama Kid Cannabis rumored to be out in theaters sometime in 2013.

Paul's most recent television show appearance was as Edward Trigg in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's season 13, episode 18 Sheltered.

He also just starred in the SyFy channel's disaster film Stonados about a stone-filled tornado. You can see the trailer here.
