Rory Feek is now 51 years old; born on April 25, 1965 in Atchison, Kansas. Joey Feek on the other hand was born on September 7, 1975 in Alexandria, Indiana. She passed away at the young age of 40 on March 4, 2016.
Rory was a single dad of two daughters for 12 years when he married his wife Joey Martin.
The duo Joey & Rory first attracted attention from country audiences in 2008 on CMT's "Can You Duet" series in which they came in third. Joey is the duo's lead vocalist, while Rory sings background vocals and plays guitar.
The husband and wife duo was nominated for the Academy of Country Music Awards Top Vocal Duo and was announced that they were the winners on March 16, 2010. They also received the 2011 Inspirational Country Music Award for Vocal Duo.
Rory documented his wife's fight with the terminal illness on his blog, This Life I Live. Fans have been following their journey since Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer a few months after she gave birth to their daughter, Indiana, in 2014.
According to People.com, the country artist – who was one half of musical act Joey+Rory – says he’s “retired” from music now that his late wife and mother to their 2½-year-old Indiana can no longer perform at his side.
