The A&E promo for the second season of Longmire is called Short Change Hero by The Heavy. The season just premiered.
The series is based on a collection of mystery novels written by Craig Johnson. The novels, and the television show, follow Absaroka County, Wyoming sheriff Walt Longmire. Robert Taylor plays the lead role. The Australian actor is most known to American audiences as Agent Jones from the first movie of The Matrix trilogy.
The Heavy is comprised of Kelvin Swaby (vocals), Dan Taylor (guitar), Spencer Page (bass) and Chris Ellul (drums). WWE used their song What Makes a Good Man as the official theme song to the 2013 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. It can also be heard on the NHL '13 video game.
Of interest, Longmire star Katee Sackhoff (deputy Victoria "Vic" Moretti) recently told the press that she believes that Walt and Vic should become a couple. She also said, "I think they would actually be really good together. They both have pain and they both have heartache, but they complement each other very well."
Season 2's premiere chalked up 4.3 million viewers. That is up just 200,000 from last year's series premiere.
Longmire: The Complete First Season on DVD just went on sale nationwide.
You can see new episodes of Longmire on Mondays at 10/9C.
