On dealeast catch did the guy from wizard named chris get better

Greenhorn Chris Scambler was airlifted from the deck of the Wizard by the Coast Guard in early November 2011. The episode of “Deadliest Catch” containing this edge-of-your-seat footage aired in May 2012. Scambler has made a full recovery.

The deckhand was being put to the test as a rookie aboard the Wizard in the Bering Sea when things took a turn for the worst. Suffering from what was later diagnosed as dehydration and shock, Scambler began experiencing convulsions. Wizard captain Keith Colburn called in a Coast Guard helicopter for the medical emergency.

Scambler was flown to a medical facility in Alaska and then on to a hospital where he was given intravenous fluids and stabilized. The last thing Scambler said to Captain Colburn before being lifted to the helicopter was, “I’m sorry.” The Captain responded, “Don’t be sorry, man, you did a great job for me.”
