is greenhorn chris from the wizard on deadliest catch ok

Greenhorn Chris Scambler added some extra drama to the Discovery Channel series “Deadliest Catch.” In episodes airing in May 2012, Scambler had to be airlifted off the Wizard by Coast Guard helicopter. He has made a full recovery.

The incident occurred in early November 2011. Aboard the Wizard, greenhorn deckhand Chris Scambler was in the gear room when he started suffering convulsions. Ship’s captain Keith Colburn contacted the Coast Guard who sent a rescue helicopter.

The helicopter took Scambler to a clinic in Cold Bay, Alaska where it was determined he needed further evaluation. He was then flown to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage where he was stabilized. His condition was determined to be the result of dehydration and shock. Intravenous fluids helped the 28-year-old deckhand recover from the frightening situation.

This isn’t the first time health-related drama has struck the cast of “Deadliest Catch.” In 2011 34-year-old Time Bandit deckhand Justin Tennison was found dead in a Homer, Alaska hotel room. In 2010 Cornelia Marie captain Phil Harris died from a massive stroke in Anchorage.
