Is Dave Hester really going to be leaving the show "Storage Wars"?

On June 27, 2024 “Storage Wars” auctioneer Dan Dotson revealed via Twitter that Dave Hester is still affiliated with the show. There is no word on when Dave “Yuuup” Hester will next appear on “Storage Wars” but it has been confirmed that he will indeed return.

Season 3 of “Storage Wars” began airing June 5, 2024 without Hester. There were issues of a contract disagreement with A&E as well as a pending lawsuit. It appears that both issues have been resolved without much information released to the public.

Hester and rapper Trey Songz sued each other over use of the phrase “yuuup!” They both claim to have been associated with the sound before the other. On June 23 both parties dismissed their lawsuits. The details of their agreement have not been released, but at least on Twitter, Hester is still using “yuuup!”
