On the last episode of deadliest catch. What happened to Chris on the wizard? Was he seizing, over dehydrated or what?

Greenhorn deckhand Chris Scambler began experiencing convulsions and was later diagnosed as suffering from dehydration and shock. Thanks to preparedness and quick thinking on the part of the crew, captain and Coast Guard, Scambler’s health was fully restored.

The episodes aired May 15 & 22, 2012. The event actually took place in early November of 2011. After the Wizard’s captain contacted the Coast Guard, Scambler was airlifted to an Alaskan medical facility and then on to a hospital.

The Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” follows commercial crabbing ships as they pursue the unforgiving Bering Sea. Scambler’s ordeal was documented in season 8’s sixth and seventh episodes, “Vital Signs” and “I Don’t Wanna Die.”
