Yes, at ComicCon 2011 it was announced that the premiere of the sixth season of Dexter will air on Sunday, October 2, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on Showtime. This season will pick up a year after season 5 ended. Dexter will emotionally be more like he was in season 1, but at the same time, trying to keep his son from inheriting his "dark passenger." Special guest stars for season 6 include Mos (formerly Mos Def), Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos.
