Regis Philbin announced in January, 2011, he would be stepping down from Live with Regis & Kelly on November 18, 2011. Regis has been with "Live" since it began in 1983. The producers said that "Live" will continue without Regis, and they will bring in a new co-host to join Kelly Ripa.
