My Chemical Romance split up in 2013. The band notoriously announced its break up in a statement written by Gerard Way.
And three years after announcing split, the New Jersey emo band tease comeback when they returned to Twitter with a video accompanied to the piano intro from their 2006 hit song The Black Parade, as a flag waves in the wind.
The clip ends with the date "9/23/16," most likely signaling the release date for a new album. Fans have pointed out that the date is exactly a month before the 10 year anniversary of the band's third and most successful album, The Black Parade.
It's the first tweet to appear on their account since April 2015.
