Are mark hamil aka luke skywalker and scott hamil aka male figure skater related?

No. Olympic skater Scott Hamilton is not related to Mark Hamill, the actor best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Mark Hamill was born in Oakland, California, to Virginia Suzanne (Johnson) and William Thomas Hamill, a captain in the United States Navy.

The fourth of seven children, Mark has two brothers (William and Patrick) and four sisters (Terry, Jan Jeanie and Kim).

Hamill's wife, Mary Lou York, who he married on December 17, 1978, was his dental hygienist. They have three adult children: Nathan, Griffin and Chelsea.

Scott Hamilton, the adopted son of two teachers, Ernest and Dorothy Hamilton, was born on August 28, 2023 in Toledo, Ohio.

His father was a professor of biology at Bowling Green State University; his mother was a grade school teacher and then a marriage and family relations counselor at the university.

On November 14, 2002, he married Tracie Robinson, a nutritionist. Since being diagnosed with cancer, Hamilton has stayed strong for his wife and his four kids: biological sons Aidan and Maxx; and Jean Paul and Evelyne, whom they adopted from Haiti in 2014.

Family names (also known as surnames) provide an obvious clue to a person’s origin. And yet, as any genealogist can tell you, surnames can be difficult to work with and research into surnames often yield unexpected surprises. In particular, two people with the same surname do not necessarily share a common ancestor. Find out why at GenealogyInTime.com.
