Who is the lead singer of the j. Geils band?

The J. Geils Band was formed in 1967 with Peter Wolf acting as the lead singer, together with guitarist J. Geils, bassist Danny Klein, drummer Stephen Jo Bladd and harpist Magic Dick (born Richard Salwitz).

Before joining the J. Geils Band, Bladd and Wolf played together in the Boston-based rock revivalist band the Hallucinations.

After going solo with 1984’s Lights Out, Wolf continued to stake out new musical territory with the subsequent releases Lights Out, Come As You Are, Up to No Good, Long Line, Fool’s Parade, Sleepless and Midnight Souvenirs, and A Cure For Loneliness.

The J. Geils Band was a regional hit upon its early 1970 release, and it earned favorable reviews, especially from Rolling Stone. The group's second album, The Morning After, appeared later that year and, thanks to the Top 40 hit "Looking for a Love," the album expanded the band's following.
