Where are ford f 150 made? America or meico?

A report from Forbes Magazine confirms that Fords are not made in the USA, only partially built or assembled. But with Ford's recent announcement of moving production of its medium-duty F-series trucks from Mexico to Ohio will see all F-series trucks produced in the United States.

According to the report, Ford spokesman said the domestic content of its vehicles often changes from generation to generation, given how many parts go into making a truck as complex as the F-150, but he said there's no doubt Ford is committed to building its top seller in the United States. The F-150 is assembled at plants in Dearborn, Mich., and Kansas City, Mo., and the Super-Duty F-series is produced at a factory near Louisville, Ky.

In latest news, Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it is canceling plans to establish a $1.6 billion in plant in Mexico to build the Ford Focus. It plans to invest $700 million at its Flat Rock Assembly Plant and create 700 new jobs in Michigan as it adds production of a new electric small SUV and a self-driving hybrid vehicle.

Ford was repeatedly criticized on the campaign trail by President-elect Donald Trump for its plans to build a plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, where it was to build the next-generation Focus. Instead, it will build the car at an existing Mexico factory.

Ford President and CEO Mark Fields cited the company’s recent decision on a shift in buyer preferences as compact car sales have fallen. But he said factors included the pro-business environment it sees in the U.S. amid proposed policies under Trump. Read more at The Detroit News.
