No New York neighborhood offers a denser collection of restaurants other than Hell's Kitchen.
While there's a number of restaurants that keep on bringing the tourists and customers back to their tables, we vote for Joe Allen as one of the most popular restaurants in the neighborhood.
Named after its crusty owner, who once dated Chita Rivera and who also owns Orso and Bar Centrale, Joe Allen is among the most storied diner in the block.
Joe Allen is also a well-known place for celebrity sightings. An excerpt from NYMag.com says that Rosie O'Donnell likes the grilled chicken sandwich with spicy Cajun mayonnaise and grilled onions on ciabatta bread, while another regular, Al Pacino, prefers the endive and watercress salad with Roquefort cheese and walnut dressing.
