What is the mexican meaning for "recalentado"????

Recalentado literally means reheated leftovers, which practically refers a get-together afternoon after a big party which last until wee hours.

This is a long-standing tradition rooted throughout Mexico, quite in keeping with the festive and generous character of the Mexicans.

Christmas morning normally starts this way: everyone bring the gifts they have received, and all pitch in the get the house in order. As afternoon gives way to evening, it's time to eat again. The menu is festive, but lighter.

Pozole (stew made from dried large white corn kernels simmered for hours) is a traditional way to stretch the recantalado.
