What does LTZ stand for on a chevy silverado

The LTZ is the luxury trim package. LT, as what majority of sources say stands for Luxuy Touring.

However, this article, say that LT isn't an acronym for something like “Luxury Touring” on newer models. According to a Chevrolet representative, it’s simply a code for higher-optioned trim designations. LT trims commonly have features and pricing that rank in between the base LS models and the higher-end LTZ, Sport or SS models.

And the Z doesn't have a corresponding word to represent as well. It's just used to refer to the highest level of options that come standard in the LT trim package as Z is the last letter of the alphabet.

When it comes to legendary workhorses, few have surpassed the overall quality and reliability of the Chevy Silverado. The Silverado has remained essentially the same throughout its production and is the second best-selling light-duty pickup truck, drafting right behind the Ford F-Series.
