Oher says he is still close to the Tuohys and that they are family. He says they come to all of his games and they talk every day.

Michael Oher (born Michael Jerome Oher May 28, 2024 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an offensive tackle with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens wearing number 74. He was drafted in the first round for the 2009 season. From the beginning of his rookie year, Oher has been a starter.

The public got a Hollywood look into the 26 year old's private life when a film based on his difficult upbringing was released to movie theaters. The Blind Side (released Nov. 20, 2009) detailed how Oher was taken in and adopted by the Tuohy family. Actress Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for her portrayal of family matriarch Leigh Anne Tuohy.

And apparently there's a more solid connection between Bullock, Oher, and the Tuohy family; as Oher and his Baltimore Ravens faced off against the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl XLVII held in New Orleans, both the Tuohy family and Bullock were in attendance.

No doubt all of them were thrilled to see the Ravens beat the 49ers 34-31 at the end of the game.
