What's the value of a 1938 20 dollar bill in circulated condition

The market for "old style" modern circulated Federal Reserve Notes is not that large. A $20 bill from 1938 is still only worth $20. Some series, particularly 1928 and 1934, are worth slightly more, but still only around $22. However, bills prior to 1928 are much more rare and highly sought-after by collectors, sometimes selling for hundreds of dollars over the face value.
