What does the C stand for on the chevy c10
According to sources, Chevrolet and GMC Full-size Trucks were coded either "C" followed by a number or "K" followed by a number. The "C" stood for two wheel drive models while the "K" was for four wheel drive models.
The numbers following referred to the chassis size. For Chevy models, 10 represented 1/2 Ton Trucks, 20 was for 3/4 Ton and 30 stood for 1 Ton Trucks. The GMC Trucks used the codes 1500, 2500, and 3500 series to indicate chassis size.
