While there are no official figures released on how much people get paid for being on the show "Judge Judy", unofficial sources suggest the plaintiff & defendant are paid $100.00 each to appear along with transportation costs, hotel and perhaps a meal.
According to TV Guide's fifth annual list, Judge Judy Sheindlin gets paid $47 million per year, making her the highest paid television star.
Of interest, Judge Sheindlin's 30-minute daytime program was recently renewed for three more seasons. She's also created a new show premiering in the fall called "Hot Bench," which features cases being presented before a three-person panel. Find out more from the New York Times.
