How much money do people get paid for being on the court show Judge Judy?

While there are no official figures released on how much people get paid for being on the show "Judge Judy", unofficial sources suggest the plaintiff & defendant are paid $100.00 each to appear along with transportation costs, hotel and perhaps a meal.

According to TV Guide's fifth annual list, Judge Judy Sheindlin gets paid $47 million per year, making her the highest paid television star.

Of interest, Judge Sheindlin's 30-minute daytime program was recently renewed for three more seasons. She's also created a new show premiering in the fall called "Hot Bench," which features cases being presented before a three-person panel. Find out more from the New York Times.
