How many oceans border asia

Asia is caught between two huge oceans, the Indian Ocean to the west and the Pacific to the east. Arctic Ocean is in the northernmost settlements bordered by Greenland, Canada, Alaska, Russia, and Norway.

The Pacific Ocean fills the area between the western coastline of the Americas, the eastern coastlines of Asia and Africa, and is capped to the North and South by the Arctic and Antarctic regions.

The Indian Ocean on the other hand covers the area between the eastern coast of Africa, the shores of the Middle East and India to its north, and is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by Southeast Asia and Australia/Oceania.

Climate patterns involving the Indian and Pacific Oceans cause much of East Asia to have temperate weather with a heavy monsoon season, particularly in Eastern China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea and most of southern Japan.

The Earth’s oceans are odd, beautiful and intriguing — and we know surprisingly little about them. Learn why oceans comprise a strange and wonderful world all their own at Motherearthnews.com.
