WTF is a menses pot?

A menses pot, also called a menstrual pad pot, is used in the laundering of washable menstrual pads. The process for using a menses pot is to fill it about half full of water. Soiled washable menstrual pads are added to the water and the lid is applied.

After the soiled pads have soaked overnight, they are put through a normal laundry process and should be ready for reuse.

The water remaining in the menses pot makes for great plant fertilizer.

Menses is another word for menstruation. It originates from the Latin word for month in reference to the general regularity of the cycle.

Menses pots are available online, as are washable menstrual pads.
