Will putting lemon juice in a woman' vagina tighten her vagina?

Not Medical Advice: Putting lemon juice in a woman's vagina to tighten it appears to be mostly a myth, however, it does have some basis in fact. In scientific and medical research studies, women in several African countries, including Zimbabwe and countries in East Africa, have reported traditional practices in those countries of using and/or douching with lime juice or lemon juice for vaginal tightening purposes. Whether or not these methods actually work without a doubt is not confirmed.

One known and confirmed method of tightening vaginal muscles is by doing Kegel exercises, which strengthen a woman's pelvic floor and tighten the vaginal muscles. Kegel exercises can be done discreetly and almost anytime or anywhere, including while sitting at one's desk, relaxing on a couch, or while driving a car.

For best results, aim for doing three sets of Kegel exercises in ten repetitions daily, keeping the muscles contracted for ten seconds at a time and relax for 10 seconds between contractions. It is not recommended to perform Kegel exercises with a full bladder or while emptying the bladder.

The Internet and the media were abuzz in August 2012 with talk of the pantyO, a product released by American company DaynaDesigns and billed as "the original Kegel exercise panty". The spandex panty has an approximately 1" "exercise extension" sewn into the crotch of the panty, designed to provide a "focus point" for females doing Kegel exercises.
