In an interview published on February 16, 2012 Grant Wilson of Ghost Hunters stated that he is leaving the popular Syfy show to focus on his personal life. He did admit, however, that leaving the show left him with mixed emotions because "paranormal investigating has always been and will remain a passion for me."
His last appearance on the show will be on the May 16, 2012 episode.
Wilson co-founded The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) with Jason Hawes close to 20 years ago. They have filmed 8 seasons of Ghost Hunters together, and although Hawes and the rest of the TAPS team are sad to see Wilson go, they are very supportive and respect his decision.
The two still intend to remain close in both their business, as well as their personal lives.
