Why does the actor, Morgan Freeman, have a prosthetic left hand?
Actor Morgan Freeman, born June 1, 1937, does not have a prosthetic hand. In 2008 Freeman was involved in a car accident where he suffered from a broken arm, broken elbow and shoulder damage. His left hand was paralyzed from the nerve damage done to his arm. He wears a tan glove to aid in the recovery. In an interview in 2011 Freeman stated that he still is not able to use his hand 3 years after the accident and it is taking a lot longer to heal than expected.
