Why did the US senate reject the treaty of versailles?

The United States Senate rejected the Treaty of Versailles mainly because of the section that established the League of Nations. The United States didn't want to get involved with the League because they didn't want to get involved in any more foreign wars. The United States signed a separate treaty with Germany in 1921.
