Why did Mayte Garcia and Prince divorce?
Mayte Garcia and Prince grew apart after the death of their one week old son Boy Gregory from Pfeiffer syndrome in 1996.
Their marriage was annulled on their third wedding anniversary on February 14, 1999, and they divorced in June 2000. She first met Prince in Germany when she was only 16 and he was 32.
Garcia is currently on VH1's Hollywood Exes with Andrea Kelly, Sheree Fletcher, Nicole Murphy, and Jessica Canseco.
