While being filmed, television cameras will find the brightest item and make it white causing a white shirt to look like it is glowing. For the same reason wearing black is discouraged because it is so dark it requires more light to show up on camera.

Big Brother requires the house quests to wear a microphone at all times and be on camera 24 hours a day. In fact, there are 53 cameras and 98 microphones in total in the house.

Big Brother airs on CBS on Sunday and Wednesday at 8:00 EST and at 9:00 EST on Thursdays for a live eviction show. Big Brother 14 brought back Janelle Pierzina, Mike "Boogie" Malin, Britney Haynes, and Dan Gheesling, four former house guests, as coaches.
