Who's playing Christian grey and Ana Steele in 50 shades of grey

As of July 23, 2012 no casting decisions have been made regarding the big-screen adaptation of the novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Producer Dana Brunetti confirmed that the film project doesn’t have a screenwriter or director attached yet. These two positions will be filled before any casting choices are considered.

This has not stopped the rumors from flying about who might play the lead characters Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. The leaked cover of an upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly confirmed Matt Bomer would play Grey. It turned out to be a fan generated hoax.

Actresses under public consideration for the role of Ana Steele include Emma Watson, Alexis Bledel, Kristen Stewart, Emilia Clarke, and Ellen Page and rumors continue to fly. Steele is described as having pale skin, long dark hair and big blue eyes.
