Who won the Pacquiao vs. Bradley fight?

In a very controversial split decision, Timothy Bradley won the WBO Welterweight title by defeating Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, June 9, 2012. The result shocked the boxing world and the entire sports world, because most boxing experts and sportswriters/analysts felt that Pacquaio had won the fight.

Two judges scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Bradley, while one judge scored it 115-113 in favor of Pacquaio. Statistics showed that Pacquaio landed 253 punches, while Bradley landed 159 punches. Pacquaio also landed more punches in 10 of the 12 rounds in the fight.

After the fight, Bradley said that he felt he had certainly won and judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross stood by their decisions. A rematch is expected to occur in the near future, but no exact date is known. It's been estimated by experts that it's likely to occur in November 2012.

On Wednesday, June 13, 2012, the World Boxing Organization launched an official investigation of the fight.
