You're thinking of the song Forever Young by Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota). Dylan is a self taught guitar player as well as a self taught piano player,who played in several bands through high school. He started performing as "Bob Dylan" in 1959 at various clubs in Minneapolis and St. Paul after entering the University of Minnesota. His first album was released on Columbia records in 1962, titled simply Bob Dylan.
