The song (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing was recorded by Bill Medley, best known as one half of The Righteous Brothers and Jennifer Warnes. It was written by Franke Previte, Donald Markowitz, and John DeNicola. You can hear the song play in the background as Frances BabyHouseman (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) perform the film’s dance finale.

The Time of My Life won the 1987 Grammy award for Best Vocal Performance by and Duo and an Oscar for Best Film Song.

Medley is tentatively scheduled to appear on Saturday, August 11, 2012 on the Victoria Square Spark stage as part of Nevada’s Hot August Nights (classic car/nostalgia event) entertainment lineup.

Warnes is currently touring Canada and is scheduled to perform on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Brock University Centre for Arts in Ontario.
