Who is the first president R.i.p Ily dad

The first President of The United States was George Washington from 1789-1797. Washington was born in 1732 to a Virginia planter family. Growing up he pursued military arts and western expansion and helped survey Shenandoah lands at the age of 16.

In May 1775 Washington was named Commander in Chief of the Continental Army by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia. In 1781 he forced the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown with the help of the French. He was unanimously elected as President in 1787 after the new Constitution was ratified. He died on December 14, 1799, 3 years after his second term.
