Where is a good bar street in indianapolis?

A good street for those wishing to go to bars and clubs in Indianapolis is Massachusetts Avenue. Commonly referred to as Mass Ave, Massachusetts Avenue runs diagonally southwest to northeast and begins just to the northeast of Monument Circle.

As Mass Ave is one of the older streets in the city, it features both historic, older bars/clubs and newer, more modern ones. Historic locations are the Chatterbox Jazz Club, which offers live music, and the Ball & Biscuit. Some other recommended bars on Mass Ave are Tomlinson Tap Room, Tini, the Rathskeller at the Athenaeum restaurant, Chatham Tap, MacNiven's Restaurant & Bar, and Old Point Tavern.

Other very popular areas/streets for bars in Indianapolis are Indiana Avenue, Fountain Square, and the Wholesale District. The Wholesale District is the most widely known area for nightlife in Indianapolis, as it's located in the center of the city, in the four or five blocks just to the south of Monument Circle.
