Where did Dwayne "the rock" Johnson grow up?

Johnson was born in Hayward, California on May 2, 1972. He moved a lot as a kid, travelling from California to New Zealand to Hawaii and finally to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Growing up with a mother and father who struggled to make ends meet, Johnson decided to begin body-building in an effort to maintain a sense of control.

In latest buzz, it was a harrowing experience for Roseville grandmother Ellen Viau and her two grandchildren. But Jacob O’Connor, 10, saved his two-year-old brother, Dylan, thanks to remembering a scene from the movie “San Andreas’’ and his hero, Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson.

The incident happened last month when Jacob found Dylan face down after the boy had wandered outside the house and fell into a pool. Remembering what he had learned from watching Johnson, Jacob told WXYZ-TV: “I pulled him out and started giving him compressions.’’ Read more at Detroit Free Press.
