Rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be released in June 2012 in the U.S. Price is still a mystery.
The name of the carrier hasn’t been announced yet, but experts are predicting the phone will debut on AT&T and Verizon based on early Samsung launches. Sprint has also expressed interest in being a carrier. Samsung says that the handset will land on 296 mobile operators in 145 countries.
The Samsung Galaxy S III has a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with a HD resolution of 720x1280 and a pixels per inch rating of 306ppi. Expect a 8-megapixel rear camera that doubles as a full HD 1080p video recorder. Its 1.9-megapixel front facing camera also shoots 720p video. New software features include S Beam, Buddy Photo Share, AllShare Play and Pop Up Play.
The Samsung Galaxy S III has just been confirmed as the official 2012 London Olympics phone. A limited edition version of the gadget called the Olympic S III will only be available to Visa-sponsored athletes and trialists.
