When will Chinese new year be in 2012?
Chinese New Year begins on the second new moon following the winter solstice. In 2012, this falls on January 23rd. The origin of the holiday dates back centuries and continues because of tradition. It is celebrated in countries around the world that have a sizable Chinese population, including China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
