When is the belmont stakes

The Belmont Stakes is always run exactly three weeks after the Preakness Stakes. That means it's always run on a Saturday, no earlier than June 5th and no later than June 11th. The 2012 Belmont Stakes will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at approximately 6:30 PM.

The 2011 Belmont Stakes was run on June 11, 2011, while the 2010 Belmont Stakes was run on June 5, 2010.

The 2012 race will be televised on NBC, with official race coverage beginning at 4:30 PM and ending at 7 PM. There will be 9 additional hours of coverage previous to the race on NBC Sports Network, starting on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 7:30 PM. The Belmont Stakes Post-Race Show will also be on NBC Sports Network from 7 to 7:30 PM Saturday.

The horse known as "I'll Have Another" will win the Triple Crown if he can win the 2012 Belmont Stakes! He's currently a 7/5 favorite, which means it will pay $7 for every $5 wagered if the bet wins.
