Not Medical Advice: The five year survival rate for people that are treated for bladder cancer during the early stages is 85%, but the rate for those in the most advanced stage is only 15%. The most common symptom is blood in the urine as well as urinary urgency, pain with urination, abdominal or back pain, loss of appetite and weight loss.

Bladder cancer may be treated with Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy, or Immunotherapy. A new contrast dye that sticks to cancer cells, named Cysview, is now being used to make bladder cancer cells glow in blue light for easier detection.
