The 2011 movie Thor stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Porter, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Chris Hemsworth bulked up considerably to prepare for the role of Thor through a 6 month fitness regime and high protein diet. Tom Hiddleston had auditioned for the role of Thor, but director Kenneth Branagh felt he would make a better antagonist and cast him as Loki.
