Diclofenac is used to treat back pain, muscle pain, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and more. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing substances or hormones in the body that cause pain and inflammation.
In the news, use of Diclofenac in animals has been reported to have led to a sharp decline in the vulture population in the Indian subcontinent and their numbers declined by 95% in the last decade.
