What liquid is heavier then water?
Several liquids are heavier, or more dense, than water. Mercury, which is a liquid at room temperature, is actually 13.6 times heavier than water. Of course most melted metals are heavier than water, but since they are not at room temperature that would be cheating. Glycerol is another liquid that's heavier than water (about 1 1/4 times as dense). Fresh water would even float on saltwater because the salt dissolved in the water makes it more dense.
