What killed Dr. Chris Koulis from Franklin Tn in March 2010
The cause of death of Dr. Christ Koulis was determined to have been bronchial pneumonia and opiate intoxication. He was convicted of criminally negligent homicide for the 2005 death of his girlfriend, Lesa Buchanan.
When police were called to Lesa Buchanan's apartment in Franklin, Tennessee, they were shocked to find a cache of prescription drugs and sex toys. The lead investigator, Eric Anderson, also said they found a lot of syringes. Lesa Buchanan died on July 4, 2005, after she and Koulis had what he described as a "marathon sex" weekend.
The jury found Koulis guilty of criminally negligent homicide for injecting Buchanan with the drug Oxycodone. A Tennessee appeals court dismissed the conviction because he died before his appeals were final.
