What is toshiba volume regulator?

Computers manufactured by Toshiba may contain a self executing file called tosvolregulator.exe. Its presence in the task manager is normal and its operation is considered 100% safe. The file name tosvolregulator.exe is an abbreviated version of the file’s full name: Toshiba Volume Regulator.

This file usually initiates operation during computer start-up. Its main function is to increase and decrease the computer’s volume depending on the level of ambient noise. The volume increases in loud areas and decreases in quiet areas.

If tosvolregulator.exe is using too much memory, it may have become infected with a virus. It can be removed using the “add/remove programs” feature in the control panel.
