What is the medicine z pack for?

Not medical advice: The Z-Pak also known as Zithromax and azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body. It is prescribed for the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, ear infections, skin infections, sinus infections, respiratory infections and more.

Less serious side effects of a Z-Pak are decreased sense of smell or taste, ringing in the ears, hearing difficulties, skin rash or mild itching, insomnia, nervous feeling, dizziness, fatigue, headache, stomach upset, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and mild nausea.

A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine disclosed that people treated with a Z-Pak may experience an increased risk of dying from a stroke or a heart attack.
