It was announced that GM's Pontiac division will resume production of the 2014 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am model. The new 2014 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am uses the 6.2-liter Corvette V8 engine, making 400 horsepower with a 6-speed automatic transmission or 426 horsepower with a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission (same as the Corvette). There will also be an SS verison of the 2014 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
